Stop losing roofing jobs to voicemail.

A roofer kneeling on a roof, nailing down shingles with a nail gun
2:41 PM. You’re on a roof. Your phone rings.

Every call you miss is a roof someone else replaces.

Homeowners with a leak or hail damage don’t wait around. If you don’t pick up, they call the next roofer on Google.

If you miss homeowner calls a week, and you’d win at a roof, about $39,000 a month in work goes to someone else.

Change the numbers to match your business.ResponseFirst starts at $600 a month.

How it works.

Set it up once. After that, it picks up every time your phone rings and you can’t.

  1. You choose when it answers.

After hours, when you don’t pick up, or every call. You keep your number, and you can switch it off anytime.

  2. It answers like your office would.

It uses your company name and asks your questions: what happened, the address, insurance and the best time to call.

  3. You get the job by text.

Everything you need to call back, plus the recording. You call back already knowing the job.

Examples use sample names and numbers.

Built for the morning after a hailstorm.

That’s when every homeowner on the street is calling roofers at once. ResponseFirst answers all of them, even at the same time, and sends each one to you as a lead. Your crew stays on the roof. Your calendar fills up.

7 AM, the day after hail. Four homeowners call in seven minutes. Every one gets answered.

What it does for your business.

More jobs from the calls you already get

Every homeowner who calls gets an answer, so fewer jobs go to the next roofer on the list.

Stay on the roof

No climbing down to grab the phone. Call back when you’re ready, with the details in hand.

Nights and weekends covered

Leaks don’t wait for business hours. It answers at 10 PM on a Saturday, too.

Storm days handled

Lots of callers at once. No busy signal, no full voicemail box, no lead left waiting.

Know the job before you call

Address, damage, insurance carrier and claim status, so your callback sounds like you already know them.

Every call on record

Listen to the recording or read the transcript any time. Nothing gets lost in a voicemail.

Don’t take our word for it. Call it.

Pretend you’re a homeowner with hail damage. Give it a messy address, ask about insurance, try to trip it up. It handles the call the way it would for your company.

  • We got hit by hail Tuesday. Do you work with State Farm?

  • Can you just give me a price over the phone?

A note from the founder

Varun JainFounder, ResponseFirst

Missed calls aren’t a quality problem. They’re an answering problem. I built ResponseFirst to fix it.

I’m Varun. I can’t sing, I can’t dance, and I’m no athlete. Building things is the one thing I’m good at. Then I kept hearing the same story from roofers: a storm rolls through, the phone rings nonstop, you’re up on a roof, and every missed call is a job that goes to whoever picks up first.

Right now I want one thing: to take ResponseFirst from 0 to 1, then from 1 to 100. That only happens if it wins you jobs, so I treat every account like my reputation depends on it. It does.

Here’s my promise. I’ll set it up for you myself, run it on your real calls for 7 days, and go through every call with you. If it doesn’t catch a job you would have missed, walk away. You owe nothing.

You handle the roof. I’ve got your phone.

Simple pricing. Try any plan free for 7 days.

Month-to-month, no setup fee. You pay per call, not per minute, so a long insurance conversation doesn’t cost you more.

Questions roofers ask.

Something else? Email hello@getresponsefirst.com.

Will callers know they're talking to AI?

Yes. It introduces itself as your company's virtual assistant and tells callers the call is recorded. It sounds natural, but it doesn't pretend to be a person.

Do I keep my phone number?

Yes. Your number stays the same. You forward calls to ResponseFirst only when you want: after hours, when you don't pick up, or all the time. Switch it off whenever you like.

What does it ask homeowners?

Their name and number, the property address, what's wrong (hail, wind, a leak, a repair or a new roof), their insurance carrier and claim status, and the best time to call back. You can add your own questions.

Does it give insurance or claim advice?

No. It takes down the details and leaves claim questions to you and your team.

What happens after the free week?

You decide. Pick a plan and keep going, or tell us to stop and we turn off forwarding. Plans are month-to-month, so you can cancel anytime.

What if a hailstorm brings a flood of calls?

It can answer many callers at the same time, so nobody hits a busy signal or a full voicemail box. If you go over your plan's included calls, extra calls are billed per call, with a monthly cap.

How long does setup take?

One short call. We add your company name, service area and questions, you turn on call forwarding, and it starts answering.

Tell us where to reach you. We’ll set it up with your company name, service area and questions. Then you turn on call forwarding and it starts answering.
